Spring has sprung, and it is now officially the most common time for pests to emerge. While looking for a place to build their nest or food for their young, these wild animals might come a little too close for comfort. Before it’s too late, make sure you’re taking preventative measures to ensure a pest-free Spring.

  1. Keep extra brush and wood away from home structures. Pests such as termites, bees, and wasps are known to get into wood and form nests. Store these items away from your home and garage.
  2. Keep food in airtight containers. Especially if you have pets in your home, it would be in your best interest to pick their food bowl off the ground and immediately rinse it out after your pet has eaten. Keep pantry/cabinet foods such as chips and cereal in plastic containers with lids.
  3. Seal up all of the entry points around your home. Check the outside of your house for any cracks or holes. Consider adding a mesh barrier to ward off wildlife.

Despite your best efforts to keep your home pest-free, infestations are still common.
