Garden Gophers

Gophers can be a big problem for homeowners, and especially for those who tend a garden. Gophers easily dig through dirt and create caves and tunnels underground. Gophers eat a combination of weeds, bulbs, crops, roots, grasses, and other plants. Their eating habits can ruin a garden.
Gophers like to burrow under and chew through a garden. They can wreak absolute havoc on your garden space. They love to eat roots, stems, crops, and flower bulbs. They can burrow under your garden and ruin its structure along with all of the crops. They can also damage any bushes, trees, and even the lawn.
Gopher holes are usually several inches to a few feet deep, but can span a few hundred feet in length. Gopher dens can become a labyrinth that winds around your property. The openings to the holes have a horseshoe-shaped mound of dirt around them. Aside from leaving holes in the ground, a gopher can leave underground paths that can damage plants, sheds, and the foundation of a home. Heavy rain can cause the paths to fill up, bringing water damage the compromised areas even more.
We specialize in removing gophers, groundhogs and other pests in the New York New Jersey area. For a complete inspection and evaluation please contact us or call us at 917-633-0888 and we will be happy to make an appointment at your convenience.
